Welcome
The Keith and Dufftown Railway is an eleven mile line linking the World's Malt Whisky Capital, Dufftown, to the market town of Keith.
The line, which was reopened by volunteers during 2000 and 2001, passes through some of Scotland's most picturesque scenery, with forest and farmland, lochs and glens, castles and distilleries.
The area's abundant wildlife can be glimpsed from the train, including deer, foxes, buzzards, heron, and much more.

IMPORTANTPlease note the town of Keith has two railway stations.
Keith Station, operated by First Scotrail, and on the national rail network, this station has no connection with the Keith and Dufftown Railway.
Keith Town Station operated by the Keith and Dufftown Railway Association and providing services to Drummuir and Dufftown.
There is currently no rail link between the two stations and the walk between the two stations takes 15 minutes approximately.
When visiting the Keith and Dufftown Railway you will find Keith Town station located in Keith on the main A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road and opposite Tesco.
