Good Food at Nice Prices

Located on the platform at Dufftown, our combined Kitchen Car and Cafeteria Car go to make up the "Buffer Stop", serving delicious hot and cold snacks, drinks and larger meals, and open most weekends during the operating season.

All fresh food is prepared by our friendly staff in the Kitchen, and you can enjoy it in the comfort of the cafe car. If you are travelling from Keith, there is plenty of time before your train retuns to partake of a hot bacon roll, a cup of tea and fruit cake (or indeed any other item from our varied menu). Passengers from Dufftown won't be able to resist the tantalising aromas whilst waiting for their train!

The seating area of the cafe car is wheelchair accessible and our staff will be on hand to provide any further assistance needed.

Private Hire

The "Buffer Stop" is available for private hire special events, and can be adapted to suit any kind of event, from children's parties, buffet self-service, to formal dining. A wide range of food and drink is available to suit your needs - please contact us for prices, bookings and to discuss your requirements further.
